Wizz Air will connect Iceland and Latvia this autumn

Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air will connect Keflavik and Riga, Turisti reported. The first flight is scheduled on 16 of October.

Earlier this year Wizz Air’s management cut the company’s operations in Riga because of the COVID-19, so Wizz Air’s plans to fly from Riga to Keflavík Airport were cancelled. Now representatives of the Hungarian low-cost airline see an opportunity for increased activity in Riga and are therefore planning to move one of the company’s Airbus there. The plane will perform flights between Latvia and Iceland.

Currently the airline performs flights to 10 destinations from Keflavik, there are London, Vienna, Dortmund, Milan, Budapest and 5 cities in Poland among them.
