Isavia has laid off all its employees at Vestmannaeyjar Airport. The dismissals were announced this morning, Eyjar reported with reference to operations manager of the airport Ingibergur Einarsson. There were three employees.

Previously, the Eagle Air stopped scheduled flights between Reykjavik at the beginning of this month.

“There is no need to say much about what this means for the community if the airport’s services are further reduced. A society that has everything under control when it comes to transporting patients to the capital. The heaviest months in the ambulance flight between Iceland and Iceland are October – November and March – April,” noticed in Icelandic media.
