Creators of a booking system for reincarnated WOW air sues the company for debt

Two programmers affiliated with the company Maverick ehf have sued USAerospace Associates, RÚV reported. It is the company owned by Michelle Ballarin, who has been working over the past few months to start flying operations under the WOW brand.

The men worked on a contract agreement between Maverick and USAerospace in September. The task of the men was to set up a booking system for WOW air. Their reasons for the lawsuit are that payments were delayed at the turn of the year and, as a result, USAerospace Associates terminated the contract agreement without notice, despite a three-month notice period. Maverick, therefore, demands 17 million ISK from USAerospace Associates for overdue payments and cancellation deadlines.

The case is on the agenda of the Reykjavík District Court tomorrow. During the hearing, USAerospace Associates will demand that Maverick provide legal costs insurance before the defendant takes action.
