In 2019 Isavia has been working on the installation of ILS equipment at Akureyri Airport for Runway 19. The equipment is extremely important for international flights and was scheduled to be ready for use in November the same year. However, it turned out the process took more time than was expected. According to Flugblogg’s sources, the Instrument Landing System for Runway 19 has become available only today.
